Steps and procedures for applying the service
- Complete application form (online)
- Pay the prescribed fee
- Attach below documents:
- Valid UAE ID
- Seafarers Medical Fitness Certificate (from the competent authority)
- Certificate of Good Conduct and Behaviour (from the competent authority)
- Copy of the work contract with the ship’s owner/ operator
- Coloured personal photo
- Valid – Certificate of Competency, issued under the provisions of the STCW 1978 as amended with
FTA Endorsement
The following STCW short courses:
- Fire Prevention and Firefighting
- Personal Surviving Techniques
- Elementary First Aid
- Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities
The following certificates:
- Global Maritime Distress and Safety System Certificate – GMDSS
- Electronic Chart Display and Identification System Certificate (ECDIS)
- Bridge Team Management Certificate – BTM
