How to Book Services
Abu Dhabi Maritime offers various public and commercial services through its digital portal. The list of services offered will grow in order to provide a seamless experience to mariners and sea lovers. Currently, the services with a tag under Abu Dhabi Maritime can be booked directly. By clicking to Book Now, users will be taken to the digital portal to register and verify details to proceed further. To follow-up on the status of the booking, registered users can access the digital portal directly by clicking the E-Services in the menu. All other services held by different stakeholders can be accessed through the service cards available here.

AD MaritimeMarina Berth Leasing Contract Attestation
New, renew, modification and cancellation of Marina Berth Leasing Contract and its attestation
Service Target Customers
Marina operators and management companies that lease berths to public and commercial users
Validity
Attested lease contract is valid for one year and can be renewed for a similar period
Service Procedures and Required Documents
Marina Berth Leasing Contract Attestation
- Upon each marina berth lease (wet or dry) marina management to apply through Abu Dhabi Maritime website by filling up the contract particulars
- Submit the required documents and pay the prescribed fee
- Both parties, Lessor and Lessee, to accept the terms & conditions and digitally sign the leasing contact prior to submission
Document required
- Emirates ID copy / passport copy / visa copy of the marine craft owner
- Valid insurance of the marine craft
- Valid registration copy of the marine craft
- Commercial / trade license copy of marina operator
- Additional term & conditions agreed and signed between the parties (if any)
- Power of attorney (POA) in favour of marina berth lease applicant if the applicant is not the owner of the marine craft
General
After completing all the procedures, the marina operator and vessel owner can download the attested berth leasing contract from the service portal or from the link provided by the customer service centre. The same should be considered as original

Licencing of jet ski used by individuals for either water sports purposes or recreational fishing
Service Target Customers
Individuals: Jet ski owners and operators including UAE nationals and expatriates residing in the UAE
Validity
A Jet ski Licence is valid for one year and can be renewed for a similar period
Issuing of Jet Ski Licence (New*)
- Jet ski owners shall register through Abu Dhabi Maritime website or visit Abu Dhabi Maritime customer service centre
- Initiate an online request attaching all the required documents
- Select the inspection appointment (at the customer service centre or remotely at a preferred location)
- Pay the registration fees
- Complete technical inspection with Abu Dhabi Maritime inspector at the chosen location

Customers should attach clear copies of the required documents. Original documents will be inspected during technical inspection for verification. To review the list of required documents, please access e-service

AD MaritimeJet Ski Licencing for Commercial
Licencing of jet ski used by companies using jet skis for commercial and non-commercial purposes in the emirate of Abu Dhabi
Service Target Customers
Companies registered in Abu Dhabi, using jet skis for commercial (rental, providing water activities etc.) and non-commercial purposes (e.g. inspections, transportation and other corporate purposes)

A jet ski licence is valid for one year and can be renewed for a similar period

AD MaritimeNOC for Offshore projects (removal of vessel wreck, debris and Aid to Navigation installation or removal)
Issuing of NOC to remove shipwrecks, marine units, and to install or remove navigation aids.
Objective
Monitoring and issuing marine operation permits, including coastal or marine projects, to ensure compliance with marine safety and environmental protection requirements, and consistency with maritime rules applicable in the UAE and across the region.
With this permit, Abu Dhabi Maritime seeks to monitor and regulate the installation, removal, or alteration of navigational aids, and to protect public and private property, as well as the marine environment and all who operate within the waters of Abu Dhabi.

AD MaritimeIssuing Operational Licence to Marine Facility
Issuing, renewing, modifying, or cancelling marine facility operation licence prior to using or commencing operations on the marine facility.
Objective
Regulating and ensuring all marine facilities are developed, maintained, and operated in a safe and secure manner, and in compliance with applicable standards and codes.

Marine Facility means any infrastructure on waterfronts, whether man-made or natural, that used by waterways users or have a direct impact on the users of waterways, including but not limited to marina, harbours slipways, pontoons and dry storage for marine crafts etc.

AD MaritimeFloating Platform Fuel Permit
Issuing an annual permit to companies to supply fuel through floating platforms to marine crafts
Objective
To regulate and monitor Abu Dhabi waters for new marine activities related to building fuel stations to supply fuel to marine crafts on water front to ensure all applicable rules, regulations and standards are complied with
Customer Journey
Stages of Permit Issuance
After completing all requirements, annual permit to supply fuel through floating platforms to marine crafts shall be issued in two stages as follows:
First Stage: Request Assessment
- Complete the application online
- Submit the required documents as applicable
- Pay the prescribed fee
Second Stage: Permit Issuance
After reviewing all required documents, Abu Dhabi Maritime inspector may visit the site and inspect prior issuing the marine activity launching permit to ensure absolute compliance with Abu Dhabi Maritime rules who reserves its rights to reject the application

AD MaritimePermit to moor or anchor at designated location
Issuing marine anchorage or mooring permits in Abu Dhabi waters in designated anchorage areas and mooring with mooring buoys
Objective
Abu Dhabi Maritime shall issue anchorage and mooring permits for vessels upon their application for such permits while operating within the waters of the Emirate before, or upon, the arrival of the vessel, and specifying the anchorage or mooring period and its purpose.
Customer Journey
The vessel’s shipping agent or captain shall apply for an anchorage or mooring permit with Abu Dhabi Maritime, and utilise the designated anchorage/mooring buoys located across the waters of the Emirate, and must state the anchorage/mooring duration and purpose.
Follow these steps:
- Submit an online application for anchoring or mooring
- Attach all required documents
- Pay applicable fee
The shipping agent shall notify Abu Dhabi Maritime of vessel time of departure from anchorage area, and pay all required fees

AD MaritimePermit to moor or anchor at undesignated location
Permitting the marine craft to stay, moor or anchor at undesignated location to ensure safety of navigation
Objective
Ensuring all maritime activities are conducted in safe and secure manner and incompliance to applicable standards and codes. Monitoring the movements of vessels ensuing operation in suitably risk assessed
Customer Journey
The vessel’s shipping agent or the captain shall apply at Abu Dhabi Maritime for vessel anchorage or mooring permit in the designated anchorages and mooring buoys in emirate’s waters before or on arrival of the vessel, stating anchorage and mooring duration and purpose. Follow below steps:
- Complete the application online
- Submit the required documents as applicable
- Pay the prescribed fee
- Print the permit from the system or link provided in the email
The Application shall be summited at least 3 working days in advance prior the operation

AD MaritimeNo Objection Certificate to Marine Infrastructure Projects (Processing Payment)
Payment processing for NOC issued to establishment, contractor, or consultant undertaking marine infrastructure projects through common E – NOC system.
Objective
Ensuring all maritime infrastructure are built and maintained as per the applicable standards and codes and all stages of the project comply with design code for maritime infrastructure minimum standards

To ensure that all maritime activities are conducted in a safe and secure manner, and in compliance with applicable standards and codes, while considering social, economic, and strategic HSE impacts on the Abu Dhabi maritime industry.

Issuing of No Objection Certificate to companies planning to perform maritime activity or event in Abu Dhabi Waterways

Issuing an operation permit to a company for an activity classified under the category of high or low risk activities

AD MaritimeMarine Diving License
Issuance or renewal of a commercial diver, instructor, or supervisor license by AD Maritime to qualified divers from accredited training centers.
Objective
By licensing marine divers, instructors, and supervisors, AD Maritime aims to ensure that such critical operations are perform by suitably qualified and trained divers, and increase awareness of safety requirements.

Service Procedures and Required Documents
In order for AD Maritime to issue licences for marine professions of all types, it is required that applicants shall have completed specialised courses at one of the certified training centres below, domestically or abroad:
- International Yacht Training
- The Royal Yachting Association
- Australian Maritime College
- Marine Academy
- College of Nautical Studies
- JLS Yachting Training Institute
- Republic of Philippines
- Emirates international Maritime Academy
Commercial Diver Licence:
After completing all required documents, a commercial diving licence will be issued.
Required Documents:
- Filling the licencing application form and paying the prescribed fee.
- Original copy of certificate or licence.
- One recent personal photograph with white background.
- Original Emirates ID and passport copy for UAE nationals, or original Emirates ID , passport copy and valid residence visa for expatriates – provided that the applicant is not below the age of (22).
- Original Copy of medical fitness certificate.
- Original copy of valid good conduct certificate issued by Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters.
- Original diver certificate from accredited local or international training centre.
- Letter from the training centre to AD Maritime stating appointment of applicant as diver.
- Copy of qualifications and certificate of experience in diving.
Diving Instructor or Supervisor Licence:
After completing all required documents, the diving instructor or supervisor licence shall be issued.
Required Documents:
- Filling the licencing application form and paying the prescribed fee.
- One recent personal photograph with white background.
- Original Emirates ID and passport copy for UAE nationals, or original Emirates ID , passport copy and valid residence visa for expatriates – provided that the applicant is not below the age of (22).
- Original Copy of medical fitness certificate issued by AD MARITIME certified medical centres.
- Original copy of valid good conduct certificate issued by Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters.
- Original diving instructor certificate from accredited local or international training centre.

Pleasure Diver Licence:
After completing all required documents, the pleasure diver licence shall be issued.

- Original Emirates ID and passport copy for UAE nationals, or original Emirates ID and passport copy and valid residence visa for expatriates – provided that the applicant is not below the age of (22).

Issuing a letter of exemption from the requirement of licensing the vessel for limited time for trial maneuverers and test purpose or Government enforcement entities vessels
Objective
To issue exemption letter to individuals or companies from vessel registration for limited time to ensure proper record is maintained and such vessels comply with Abu Dhabi rules and regulations.

Required documents
- Copy of Emirates ID card for the owner of the Marine Craft.
- Copy of valid Abu Dhabi issued trade licence, in addition to the Emirates ID card, of the company’s shareholder or authorized manager. (for commercial Marine Craft only)
- Statement of purpose of vessel and reason for sailing in Abu Dhabi waters issued by the owner or manager of the company.
- Vessel certificates (Builder certificate)
- Copy of insurance policy detailing marine craft specifications and testing period.
- Copy of marine craft skipper`s license
Cancellation Application Validity:
The application of the marine craft license exemption shall be cancelled automatically in case of failing to fulfil all requirements within three months as of application submission date considering that paid fees will not be refunded.
